Tips for a Formal Dress Code


  • You love fashion and you follow all the latest fashion trends through the web? Still, everyday you love to wear something different, combining the same clothes but in a different way?

    Unfortunately, there are many jobs that you cannot wear what you want as you want. Some jobs require a dress code, usually formal, that you have to follow.

    The world of business and the world of "you have to wear this to work here" are coming to an end. Therefore, there are many places and jobs that still require this dress code and still have these principles.

    If you work in a place that you do not wear comfortably because it is too formal, try to innovate your closet with accessories and specific pieces that it will make you shine and make the difference wherever you go.

    I will leave below some suggestions for a stylish formal look.

    FORMAL DRESS CODE

    • a blazer always looks good whatever color or shape it is;
    • long coats in rainy and cold days will be your best friend - espeacilly beige, grey, black or white;
    • in the winter, replace your shirts with a turtleneck sweater;
    • sandals are a very plus point in the summer, find some unusual sandals that show your personality and style;
    • try monochromatic suits with a sweater or shirt with the same color;
    • florals and pattern shirts will help you show your own style;
    • conjugate scarfs or kerchiefs with your daily looks;
    • in the winter, velvet formal dresses will make you shine;
    • big belts are a trend;
    • pencil skirts are a fantastic choice;
    • tailored pants will be your best friend, and there are many places where you can personalize them or make your own, don't be too flashy in your choices;
    • opt for a structural handbag;
    • keep jewellery minimal.
