โ‹† โ‹† Dominique has always had an affinity for a certain set of twins. Her first kiss was with an older boy the summer before she turned fifteen, and to this day there's been a rumor that it might have been Lorcan. Although she's never said it was and nobody else has refuted it even if it isn't true. Plus, sheโ€™s had a thinly veiled fascination with Lysander that no one seems to entirely understand. Especially not their fellow Ravenclaws. Especially not when she's shown that she might actually be pansexual.

โ‹† โ‹† While sheโ€™s a rather skilled Seeker, Dominique doesnโ€™t hide the fact sheโ€™s on the team just because she can be. She doesnโ€™t actually particularly like Quidditch but itโ€™s one of the things her cousins love so she pretends.

โ‹† โ‹† Dominique isnโ€™t fluent in French and she has no desire to ever become fluent, even if she does understand most of what her family says when theyโ€™re speaking it.

โ‹† โ‹† Dominique has a set of notebooks very few people know about that contain poetry and sketches sheโ€™s done over the years. The first was started when she was barely able to write and contains mostly her true feelings about her familyโ€™s adventures. Namely, how miserable she was in Egypt and elsewhere.

    โ‹† โ‹† Dominique still has a stuffed bunny that Aunt Hermione gave her when she was tiny. Itโ€™s ragged and rather disgusting by now, but she refuses to toss it away. { ๐ธ๐“๐“…๐‘œ๐“ˆ๐‘’๐’น ๐’ท๐“Ž ๐“ฃ๐“ฑ๐“ฎ ๐“ ๐“พ๐“ฒ๐“ซ๐“ซ๐“ต๐“ฎ๐“ป ๐’พ๐“ƒ ๐‘€๐’ถ๐“Ž 2017 }

โ‹† โ‹† Dominique secretly managed to join a Muggle wannabe rock band as their lead singer and regularly sneaks away from Hogwarts to attend practices and soon, actual shows

โ‹† โ‹† Thereโ€™s a bit of Tom Sawyer in her, as Dominique has somehow managed to make it through her schooling without actually doing any of her homework assignments by herself. Instead, she uses the bit of veela blood in her to talk other Ravenclaws into doing it for her. All she has to do is flash a smile and people seem to want to do whatever she wants.

โ‹† โ‹† When she was little, all Dominique wanted was to be like Victoire but that quickly was superseded by her own feelings about Egypt and traveling. Away from her cousins who she regularly kept in touch with via two-way mirror and then owls once she knew how to write. Ironically, this contact likely added to her feelings of being miserable away from England and the gulf between herself and Victoire that exists through today. Above all, she dislikes being known as โ€œVictoireโ€™s little sisterโ€ and because of this, sheโ€™s closer to her brother than she is her sister.

Thereโ€™s a bit of an interesting dichotomy that makes up the basic aspects of Dominique Weasley. Upon first appearance, she looks soft and delicate (especially since sheโ€™s always been rather petite), but quickly it becomes apparent that thereโ€™s something else to her. Something most people donโ€™t seem to be able to exactly put their finger on. Yet it hasnโ€™t affected their desire to get to know her.

Sheโ€™s the one who is most likely to call her friends by nicknames rather than their real names, and itโ€™s not unheard of for her to call people out on their stupidity, regularly doing so to her little brother. While it seems a bit rude, thatโ€™s just her. She says it like it is. That and sheโ€™s known to have a bit of a sarcastic streak. Somehow it never veers entirely into cruelty, but there have been instances that itโ€™s been close.

Above all else, Dominique respects Dominique. Most everything she does is because she wants to do it, whether it was assisting in the pranks her cousins took part in or being the first person to arrive at a party or last to leave. She adores parties and people in general, even as she also seems to refuse to actually consider the othersโ€™ feelings about things. Once again, itโ€™s simply that sheโ€™s more concerned with herself than anyone else.

    B I O G R A P H Y

It was a quiet September day when the small Delacour-Weasley family became a foursome, as Dominique was born in Shell Cottage during one of their trips back from Egypt. Itโ€™s a fact that to this day, she sometimes holds against Louis, when sheโ€™s feeling particularly like bothering him. She wasnโ€™t born in Egypt, so sheโ€™s solidly a British citizen, or a British citizen with dual citizenship from France due to Fleurโ€™s family. Long story short, Dominique much preferred the trips back to Shell Cottage as opposed to the familyโ€™s time in Egypt. Mostly because she found she adored all her cousins and everyone at the Burrow and elsewhere who decidedly werenโ€™t in Egypt.

The young girl found that she looked forward to every time her parents announced theyโ€™d be going back to England, and the very first heartbreak Dominique ever experienced was the announcement when she was nearly five that they were going to be moving to Egypt full-time. It was a heartbreak the young firebrand kept to herself, scribbled about in her childhood diaries and whispered to her stuffed bunny but otherwise kept away from the parents she idolised. For even as she resented being torn away from her cousins, she also looked up to her parents as people sheโ€™d love to become when she grew up. Except maybe without the desire for adventure that took her away from everything she loved.

Little Dom loved Shell Cottage. She loved Uncle Harry, Uncle Ron, Aunt Ginny, Aunt Hermione. All the Wotter cousins plus Teddy. She didnโ€™t have that in Cairo, just a lot of desert and cursebreakers and homeschooling. For a while she had Victoire, but after a few years that even seemed to stop as her big sister found herself and that spark that seemed to have been missed in Dominique herself. Not to say that Dominique wasnโ€™t adventurous. She just preferred her books and her adventures with her cousins back home. Cairo was never home to her, nor was any of the other excursions the family took while she was tiny and Louis was even tinier.

It took her three years before she had decided enough was enough, but even then it was more subtle clues rather than the straightforward nature that exists in Dominique today. Bill and Fleur noticed how miserable she and Louis were and ultimately they made the decision Dominique wanted. They moved the family back to Shell Cottage, and the small redhead brightened nearly exponentially.

Except for the subsequent loss of Victoire to Beauxbatons, while Dominique and Louis continued to be homeschooled by Fleur. If Dominique had thought her sister abandoned her before, she really felt it now. Hogwarts was far, but France was even farther away, and Victoire wasnโ€™t even there for her ninth birthday. Dominique came up with all sorts of stories about what her sister was doing in Beauxbatons during the two years Victoire was away, and the truth didnโ€™t feature in any of them once it came out. The resentment was too established by then, even as it was established that her big sister would transfer to Hogwarts at the same time she herself was about to start.

The demeanor change her big sister went through once their joint adventure in Scotland began didnโ€™t help either, as eleven-year-old Dominique didnโ€™t understand why her sister was acting different from how she used to. It was at that point that Dominique gave up entirely. She had been used to being her sisterโ€™s defender when people had questioned if they were sisters, but she stopped. There wasnโ€™t even an explanation. It was as if that little bit of fire that still had hope had dimmed, if not gone out entirely.

The only thing that had maybe kept it alive was Teddy. Dominique saw things. She was observant. But she also knew it wouldnโ€™t do any good to actually confront either of them, so it became yet another of those things that stayed in her diaries. Those diaries themselves had undergone a slight evolution as it was, as while they still contained the evidence of her creativity, they also began being used to account for everything she observed, Whether those items ended up being used or not wasnโ€™t even a consideration at first, and eventually they only were revealed if it proved useful for her.

Dominique wasnโ€™t into blackmail. She was into whatever provided amusement for herself, be they pranks or parties. While she didnโ€™t grow into the one to actually host said parties, it was usually a given that sheโ€™d be present. Plus, they proved to be a distraction as one by one, the older family members left her. First Teddy left physically, and then Victoire left yet again. If not physically, aside from the visits to Uncle Charlie in Romania, Dominique still felt it. She was still smart enough to pretend she understood, even if there was still that young girl inside that held the resentment of years close inside. Her older sister was physically there, but she wasnโ€™t really there. Dominique had to find a way to cope, and she did so with honesty and a sharp wit. Maybe it wasnโ€™t worth depending on others when she knew she could depend on herself.

โ‹† โ‹† Dominique has a pet fox that sheโ€™s named Nymphadora, to the chagrin of half of her family members and a few of the extended family as well. Sheโ€™s even managed to sneak it into Hogwarts a few times even though it's against the rules. She just uses her skill with words to talk her way out of getting in trouble for it.

โ‹† โ‹† When younger, Dominique was one of the Wotters who had regularly pestered Teddy with any and all questions she had about just about every subject, and she secretly or not-so-secretly may have shipped him and Victoire. In fact, she might still ship them but wonโ€™t admit it to anyone.

โ‹† โ‹† Dominique is not afraid of calling anyone out on their mistakes. Or just about anything they manage to get themselves involved in, even as sheโ€™s just as apt to get into the same little situations on her own. She just knows better than to admit to it. (inspiration: https://hpquotes.tumblr.com/post/183357850066/lorcan-i-wasnt-that-drunk-i-drove-myself)

โ‹† โ‹† โ€œBut when a crime's discovered then Macavity's not there!โ€ Dominique has an uncanny knack of getting herself out of the same pranks and situations her cousins seem to regularly get themselves caught for. No one seems to know exactly how she does it, and sheโ€™s not about to reveal that little secret.

โ‹† โ‹† Contrary to her desire never to learn how to speak French fluently, Dominique still has a very close relationship with her Aunt Gabrielle, regularly exchanging long letters.

โ‹† โ‹† When she was younger, Dominique might have envied Teddy of his Metamorphmagus abilities. Then she found out about makeup and things progressed from there (although sheโ€™s never tried to change her hair color). Plus, sheโ€™s rarely seen in anything other than heels. Also, one of her favorite holidays is Halloween, followed closely by every Christmas holiday spent with all her cousins and family.

โ‹† โ‹† Dominique isnโ€™t by any means unintelligent or lazy, even considering her dislike of homework. She got sorted into Ravenclaw after all, and somehow, mysteriously, she tends to do well on end-of-term exams as well as any pop quizzes or in class work that happens to come her way. She just has better things to do outside of lessons than homework.
