    โ‹† โ‹† The quiet prankster. Having a reputation as Hogwartsโ€™ resident shy boy allowed Teddy to get away with plenty of trouble and pulling pranks on his peers was one of those things. All throughout his time in Hogwarts (with the exception of his first year), Teddy pulled a little over one hundred pranks all carefully documented in one of his school notebooks. { ๐ธ๐“๐“…๐‘œ๐“ˆ๐‘’๐’น ๐’ท๐“Ž ๐“ฃ๐“ฑ๐“ฎ ๐“ ๐“พ๐“ฒ๐“ซ๐“ซ๐“ต๐“ฎ๐“ป ๐’พ๐“ƒ ๐‘€๐’ถ๐“Ž 2016 }

โ‹† โ‹† Victoire Weasley. His feelings for her were something Teddy desperately tried to hide from the world. It took him sixteen years to realize that the reason why his heart always did a somersault whenever she was in his presence had nothing to do with the fact that she annoyed the hell out of him. He spent two years beating himself over for his ever growing crush. Two years might not be a big age difference but at that time it felt as if he were 20 years older than her. Guilt constantly ate him inside and whenever her pretty face would enter his thoughts Teddy just couldnโ€™t help but feel dirty. He was terrified from being seen the same as all those boys who shamelessly lusted after sweet Victoire. His Vic.

โ‹† โ‹† The girlfriend. Thereโ€™s one problem about Teddyโ€™s relationship with the glamorous Cybill Cork and their six year age gap has nothing to do with it. And itโ€™s funny how he loves to tell the story about how they got together, because in reality Teddy canโ€™t really remember how this all started. The only thing he remembers is that she never treated him as if he was made of porcelain. She saw past his soft demeanor and recognized the man heโ€™s always wanted to be one day: confident, strong and out-spoken. So itโ€™s no wonder that he couldnโ€™t help developing feelings for her. Even though she was six years older than. Even though she was his mentor. Even though she was engaged to his bossโ€™ son. Their secret love affair lasted for an entire year before she finally decided to leave her fiancรฉ at the altar and run away to Italy with Teddy. Theyโ€™ve been together ever since and he is pretty sure heโ€™s in love.

โ‹† โ‹† University. So, he didnโ€™t finish university, but everyone knows that. What they donโ€™t know is the reason why he dropped out. Sure, realizing that making potions might not be the ideal profession for him, had something to do with it. But so did his spontaneous decision to run away to Italy with his engaged mentor.

โ‹† โ‹† The kiss. The events that occurred on his last day at Hogwarts will be forever etched in the back of Teddyโ€™s brain for one reason only: the kiss between him and Victoire Weasley. Or better said the passionate make out session they shared by the lake while he was boasting about all the pranks he pulled throughout the years. He always knew that he wanted to kiss her, but it wasnโ€™t until that moment until Teddy realized just how desperate he was for his lips to touch hers. He was hungry for it, as if heโ€™d been starved from her touch for years and once he started he just couldnโ€™t get himself to stop. But he was leaving and she was and will always be out of his league, so he pretended as if nothing had happened. Breaking both their hearts in the process.

    โ‹† โ‹† The glasses. Itโ€™s such a silly thing to keep secret and yet for some strange reason Teddy kept his shitty eye sight to himself for years. It started sometime after his eleventh birthday and it got worse and worse as the years went by. The reason why he didnโ€™t tell a soul? He would be forced to wear glasses and the last thing Teddy wanted at that time is to look dorkier than the dork he already was. { ๐ธ๐“๐“…๐‘œ๐“ˆ๐‘’๐’น ๐’ท๐“Ž ๐“ฃ๐“ฑ๐“ฎ ๐“ ๐“พ๐“ฒ๐“ซ๐“ซ๐“ต๐“ฎ๐“ป ๐’พ๐“ƒ ๐’ฉ๐‘œ๐“‹๐‘’๐“‚๐’ท๐‘’๐“‡ 2015 }

โ‹† โ‹† Experience of a lifetime. Teddy lost his virginity in his final year as a Hogwarts student. It was Christmas and for some strange reason heโ€™d decided not to spend it with the Potter/Weasley clan. The only person that kept him company was a fellow seventh year and Hufflepuff named Dawn Ganders. He and Dawn hadnโ€™t gotten a chance to get to know one another well over the past seven years, mainly due to the fact that she was always involved in some obscure boy drama. One thing led to another and suddenly Teddy found himself completely naked on one of the couches in the Hufflepuff common room with Dawn lying by his side. She made him swear not to tell a soul and Teddy kept his promise. Afterwards they fooled around for a while, but nothing came out of it because she was too hung up on her ex-boyfriend.

โ‹† โ‹† Favorite class. He might tell everyone just how much he loves Defense Against the Dark Arts, but the truth is Divination has always been Teddyโ€™s all time favorite subject.

โ‹† โ‹† The greatest fear. When he was around twelve Teddy stumbled upon the Boggart that Harry had captured in one of his missions as an Auror. Thinking that he is the bravest person alive and that thereโ€™s nothing in the world that is able to frighten him, Teddy decided to set it free, therefore come face to face with his biggest fear of all: him turning into a werewolf and tearing everyone he loves to pieces.

โ‹† โ‹† Silvering Potions. His first real job. His fear and interest in werewolves led him to discovering the independent company formed by the American philanthropist Otto Silvering. Heโ€™d heard about the years they spend trying to find a cure against lycanthropy and it was one of the many reasons why Teddy decided to go to university all the way to the United States. During the three years he spent working for Silvering, Teddy encountered a plethora of werewolves. They were of all ages and stages of their lycanthropy and helped him get over his fear โ€“ even if it was just a little. And how did he return the favor? By helping create a potion that led them to their untimely deaths. The memory of their cries still gives Teddy nightmares and he will never stop feeling guilty for what he did.

โ‹† โ‹† The letters. He knew that leaving so soon and suddenly will break her heart and if she had told him sooner about the way sheโ€™d felt about him, maybe Teddy wouldโ€™ve never made an attempt to leave. And he tried telling her โ€“ he tried explaining himself in dozens of letters and postcards he wrote to her, but never had the courage to send. Teddy keeps each and every single piece of paper addressed to Victoire in a small box thatโ€™s carefully stored under his bed. He doesnโ€™t plan on giving them to her anytime soon, unless something happens and he suddenly finds himself on his death bed.

It took a couple of years for Teddy to finally break out of his shell โ€“ thirteen to be exact. Up until then, he was incredibly shy and timid, completely different from the boisterous children he grew up with. His usual quiet demeanor and eloquence would often give others the impression that Teddy was very mature for his age. In reality, he had a difficult time expressing himself โ€“ especially his emotions, so in most cases he allowed the color of his hair to speak instead of him. Whenever he was embarrassed it would turn fiery red. His happiness was radiating through his soft pink locks and his anger seeped through his entire body the second his hair became pitch black.

As the years went by, Teddy wasnโ€™t the only one who was brave enough to break out of the cage. Along with him came that unexpected goofiness, the same one he reserved for only his close friends and family. His peers finally saw him for the person he really was: the enthusiastic, clumsy and incredibly charismatic boy that the Potter/Weasley kids absolutely adored. And it was exactly his charisma that made him so very likable, not only by his peers, but even those younger than him.

He was the first person first years would go to if they got lost or something about a certain class just didnโ€™t make sense. And no matter how bad of a day he was having, Teddy always managed to pull the biggest smile on his face and do his best to offer help or advice to those in need, making him one of the most tolerant and selfless person among his peers. Although his tendency to always put others in front of him usually almost always backfired and his friends would scold him for spending more time with strangers rather than with them.

Even though he was always compared to one, Teddy refused to believe that he was a pushover even though he often allowed the younger Potter/Weasley kids to walk all over him at all times. But those kinds of comparisons were nothing compared to the ones about his parents. As the token shy kid, the stories about his parentsโ€™ bravery and outspokenness made feel incredibly insecure of the person he was or becoming. He couldnโ€™t help but feel as if he was letting them down by being the quiet one, when in reality heโ€™s like his parents in more ways than he can imagine.

But that didnโ€™t stop Teddy from being too harsh and critical of himself โ€“ constantly striving to be a better version of the one he already was for the sake of those closest to him. For ages he felt as a burden; an intruder; a waste of space, even though his surrogate family absolutely adored him and treated Teddy as if he was their blood. And yet, the fear of being abandoned or forgotten for him never subsided. He desperately tried to hide his lack of confidence and insecurities behind a charming smile and most importantly his wicked sense of humor. The self-depreciating jokes started to become a more frequent thing in his life as he got older and suddenly, by the time he reached his twenties, those fears and insecurities became less and less of a problem.

At the age of twenty-one, Teddy is finally able to blossom into the young man he always strived to become one day. The kind heโ€™s sure his parents would be incredibly proud of.

โ€” Remus Lupin regarding his own death and his son

    โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ” โ˜† โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”

Born a month prior the deaths of his parents, Teddy Lupinโ€™s beginnings were very similar to the ones of his Godfather - Harry Potter. But, unlike Harry, Teddy grew up with all the love and affection a child deserves, often splitting his time between the Potter/Weasley households and the one that belonged to his grandmother.

Despite their absence, the spirits of Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks lived through the stories that were constantly told about them. Stories about their younger days, their bravery and all the sacrifices they had to make in order for their beloved son to live a happy and careless life. Hearing them, made Teddy feel a number of mixed emotions, especially when comparisons would be thrown around. He had his fatherโ€™s sad eyes and his motherโ€™s untamable and colorful hair, but what about their attitudes? His parents were brave and outspoken, while Teddy was always the quietest of the bunch. The wallflower, the intruder.

Even though his happiest memories reside in his childhood, he canโ€™t deny the fact that a lot of them are laced with a number of insecurities. Insecurities that made him feel that he didnโ€™t fit in with the people that loved him as if he were their own blood. Insecurities that made him feel as if he wasnโ€™t making his parents proud by becoming someone no one ever expected him to be.

The worst thing of all is that he was never able to speak up on it. There was just something inside Teddy that constantly prevented him from talking about the emotions that crowded his brain. And maybe thatโ€™s why he allowed his hair to speak instead of his mouth. Sure, he could always turn to Harry for help - after all, he was the closest thing Teddy had to a father figure and yet, he would never allow himself to burden his Godfather with his feelings. He already had three other more important children to worry about.

Teddyโ€™s first year at Hogwarts was celebrated by throwing a huge party at his grandmotherโ€™s house. His memories of that particular event are quite foggy due to all the excitement, but heโ€™s pretty sure that at one point he caught both Ginny and his grandmother tearing up a little. All that excitement and joy quickly faded away the second Teddy boarded the train the following morning. Itโ€™s no lie that his first year was a complete and utter mess. He was terrified of all that newness, of the idea that he might not fit in. Heโ€™s felt like an intruder his whole life, so what stopped him from feeling like one in a brand new environment?

Getting sorted in Hufflepuff, the same house his mother was once in, brought so much joy to a then eleven year old Teddy. Finally, for the first time in years he felt as if he was doing something right. Maybe he was like one of his parents after all. Good things started to follow him soon after and despite his timid demeanor, Teddy began to slowly make new friends. Sebastian Pepper and Veronica Juneberry quickly became one his closest friends even though their personalities were as different as night and day. As a matter of fact, they were the reason why the rest of Teddyโ€™s years at Hogwarts were so enjoyable.

The following years, he impatiently waited for the end of summer. He just couldnโ€™t way to embark on brand new adventures with his brand new favorite people. He was the happiest he could ever be, until they began learning about werewolves. Teddy was no stranger to the fact that his father was one. As a matter of fact, that bit of information never bothered him until he found out that in some cases, the offspring of a werewolf can develop lycanthropy once they enter puberty.

Teddy had just turned thirteen. His voice constantly reached different octaves and his face was littered with more pimples than he could count. Who said that the next stage didnโ€™t include him tearing off his clothes and howling at the moon? The more he read on it, the more terrified he became. He knew exactly how his father felt about being a werewolf. How much he despised his condition. How much it alienated him from society and the ones he loved. Teddy already felt like an outsider, the last thing he wanted to do is to actually become one.

So he tracked the moonโ€™s cycles, researched lycanthropy obsessively and did everything he could in order to master the making of the Wolfsbane Potion. If he did have to become one, Teddy was willing to do anything in order to prevent himself from turning into a werewolf. Fortunately for him, the symptoms never showed, but that doesnโ€™t mean that Teddy wasnโ€™t scarred by the experience that ruined his third and fourth year.

The summer between the worst year ever and his fifth, Teddy discovered several things that used to belong to his father and Sirius Black, therefore finally gaining that much needed confidence and allowing himself to break out of the cage he had created for himself. As if by some strange coincidence, his fifth year was the same one Victoire Weasley decided to become a permanent resident of his life. Sure, she was always there for all those summer and winter holidays, but this was different. Victoire Weasley was constantly around him; her presence unlikely cold and distant.

She was the last person someone would ever feel sorry for, but thatโ€™s exactly what Teddy felt when he saw her sitting by herself most of the time. He never found out the things that were troubling her, but he always made it his mission to make her feel less worried than she appeared to be. Whenever Teddy was around, Victoire never spent a second on her own โ€“ she always had someone to study or hang around with.

So, itโ€™s no wonder that the following year Teddyโ€™s perception of her started to change. What he thought was a newfound fondness for the once bratty Victoire, turned into a full-fledged crush โ€“ the kind that made him feel like a terrible human being. He was a fully grown sixteen year old developing feelings on a clueless fourteen year old that heโ€™s known his entire life. She was basically like his sister and he was slowly turning into those gross boys that constantly made crude comments about Victoire looks.

In order to distract himself from thinking about her, Teddy started dating. A lot. If someone asked him why he was so protective of that pretty Weasley girl, he told them that she was like his little sister before feeling the sudden need to empty his intestines. In the end, everything culminated after he gave two Gryffindor boys the beating of a lifetime after he overheard him talking about โ€™all the things they would do that Victoire Weasley if she let them.โ€™ Because of that, Teddy was stuck in detention for the rest of the year.

Despite that one strike that got him in a lot of hot water with the Headmistress, Teddy was still appointed Head Boy in his seventh and final year at Hogwarts. His brand new title mightโ€™ve given him a brand new perspective, but it also made Teddy feel incredibly overwhelmed by the sudden list of responsibilities and rules he had to adhere. It was around the same time he grew incredibly interested in Defense Against the Dark Arts โ€“ claiming that becoming an Auror was his true calling in life.

He applied for both Ilvermorny and Durmstrang, but much to his chagrin only got feedback from the American institute. Even though we was a tad bit displeased, Teddy was still very excited to embark on his new adventure and unlike last time, he was ready to fully welcome all that newness into his life. Until his very last day when Victoire told him exactly how he feels about him by kissing him.

Teddy knew that he was a coward for not stopping by Shell Cottage to say his final goodbyes with the girl he spent years secretly loving from afar. He also knew that not sending her all the letters he wrote in the following three years further added to that. But what was he supposed to do? What was he supposed to say? โ€™I love you? Please wait for me?โ€™

Once at Ilvermorny, Teddy decided that maybe becoming an Auror wasnโ€™t his true calling. If he wasnโ€™t brave enough to tell Victoire how he truly felt about her, what made him so sure that heโ€™ll be brave enough to fight the most terrifying creatures in the world? So, he started to set his sights on Potion Making โ€“ especially after discovering the existence of the Silverling family and their history with trying to find a cure for lycanthropy.

Itโ€™s safe to say that he got the job almost immediately. With that heart wrenching backstory and impressive N.E.W.T.S results, it was hard not to. At first he started off as yet another doe-eyed summer intern, but his eagerness to learn more and need for success quickly got him access with the big dogs of company. There he was introduced by Cybill Cork, one of the lead potion makers. She was appointed as Teddyโ€™s supervisor and soon became one of the few people that saw him as more than just the soft-spoken intern.

She insisted on calling him by his full name โ€“ Edward โ€“ and unlike the rest of the higher ups, treated him like an equal. Like an adult. By the time Teddy entered his second year, Cybill had completely taken under his wing. Her constant attention made him feel important and helped a lot when it came to growing his confidence. Cybill had taught him that he didnโ€™t need to have bright blue hair in order to stand out. Sheโ€™d taught him how to take care of himself โ€“ both mentally and physically and soon, Teddy found himself falling for her.

But, there was one problem and their six year age gap wasnโ€™t one of it. Cybill was engaged to their boss โ€“ Otto Silvering Jr. and despite their sexual tension she had no intentions of leaving him for Teddy. Until one hot July day when she decided to risk it all. Their forbidden love affair lasted until the day of Cybillโ€™s wedding. With only a note and a single extremely large suitcase she leaves her fiancรฉ at the altar in order to run to Italy with Teddy.

It was during their adventures in Italy that Teddy realized that he might be in too deep when it came to his relationship with Cybill. They were exclusive now โ€“ his first proper relationship, but a part of him knew that they canโ€™t stay forever in their little utopia. With a lot of reluctance the two moved back to Teddyโ€™s home country where he discovered his newest true calling. While telling Cybill stories about his days at Hogwarts, he remembered all those times he would impersonate his professors.

Maybe he was meant to be a teacher all along. And dropping out of his upper levels and becoming a professors at the school he once went to was the worst decision in his entire life.

โ‹† โ‹† Teddy had just turned thirteen when he realized that he has completely grown out of the nickname he was given many years ago. He felt that its softness made him look even meeker than he already was and so he began urging everyone to start calling him by either Edward or Ted โ€“ if they are so inclined on already shortening his name. And for a while, everyone did so. Well, everyone but pesky Victoire Weasley. Despite his insistence, she just wouldnโ€™t stop calling him Teddy. Nowadays she does the complete opposite โ€“ calling him by either his full name or Ted. Just to annoy him.

โ‹† โ‹† In the Hufflepuff common room, right next to the trophy case and artwork display is a large portrait of Nymphadora Tonks. Having her there watch over him as he made his way in and out made the whole Hogwarts experience a lot easier on Teddy. Her warm smile was one of the first things he got to see every morning and he would always greet her with either a softly spoken โ๐ป๐’พ ๐‘€๐“Š๐“‚.โž or an equally warm smile each time heโ€™d pass by her.

โ‹† โ‹† During the summer between his fourth and fifth year Teddy discovered the belongings of his father and his friends that were carefully stored in his Godfatherโ€™s attic. He quickly fell in love with Remusโ€™ raggedy sweaters and Siriusโ€™ worn out leather jacket as well the plethora of objects that muggles called cassette tapes. Even though he knew that Harry would never be against Teddy taking ownership over the things that once belonged to his late father, he still asked. Come fifth year, Teddy would stroll into Hogwarts with black hair, his uncle Siriusโ€™ jacket under his robe and a Sex Pistols t-shirt under his uniform.

โ‹† โ‹† Teddyโ€™s fifth year in Hogwarts was also the year he decided to break out of his shell โ€“ even if it was just a little. This is when he decided to show off his abilities as a Metamorphmagus and weโ€™re not talking about changing the color of his hair whenever he pleases. One of the most notable things Teddy did in the next two years was take the form of the professors who would be running late for class. He took most joy in pretending to be Professor Longbottom.

โ‹† โ‹† Sometimes, in order to get a reaction out of her, Teddy would often call his grandmother Andromena by the accidental nickname heโ€™d given her when he was three. ๐’ข๐“‡๐’ถ๐“ƒ๐’น๐“‡๐‘œ๐“‚๐‘’๐’น๐’ถ. The name always leaves a snarl on the womanโ€™s face so ridiculous that has Teddy rolling on the floor laughing. The worst thing of all? The kids from the Potter/Weasley clan have caught up on it too.

โ‹† โ‹† He became Head Boy in his last year of Hogwarts and although at time he found the position overwhelming at times, he enjoyed the part where students from all years would come to him whenever they needed advice or help of some sorts. Teddy always managed to give the best advice out of all his peers (not that anyone was surprised, heโ€™d always been an impeccably good listener) to the point where when someone would come to him for advice he would reply with a cheeky, โ๐’ฒ๐‘’๐“๐’ธ๐‘œ๐“‚๐‘’ ๐“‰๐‘œ ๐“‚๐“Ž ๐’ฏ๐‘’๐’น๐’ฏ๐’ถ๐“๐“€. ๐’ซ๐“๐‘’๐’ถ๐“ˆ๐‘’, ๐“‰๐’ถ๐“€๐‘’ ๐’ถ ๐“ˆ๐‘’๐’ถ๐“‰.โž

โ‹† โ‹† Each year on her birthday, in order to honor her memory, Teddy would change his hair into a shade of bubblegum pink โ€“ the same color his mom was mostly known for.

โ‹† โ‹† By the time he turned sixteen Teddy had already grown taller than his father ever was. This resulted in him finally being able to fit into his uncle Siriusโ€™ leather jacket.

โ‹† โ‹† Even though his Godmother played it professionally and most of the Potter/Weasley clan's obsessed with it, Teddy has never shown any particular interest in Quidditch. This might be due to his clumsiness and crippling fear of heights. Harry always says that if Teddy put his mind to it, he would be a champion at the sport thus the reason why he bought him a Nimbus 2009 when he started his first year at Hogwarts.

โ‹† โ‹† The kid that excelled in every single of their classes. And although it made studying a lot easier, it also left Teddy standing at a crossroad the second he graduated from Hogwarts. He never paid much attention to what he wanted to be when he grows up aside from his interest in muggle music, werewolves and travelling.

โ‹† โ‹† His fatherโ€™s lycanthropy is the biggest reason why he showed interest in werewolves in the first place. The other reason is his fear of becoming one. (and killing everyone he loves in the process).

โ‹† โ‹† Developed a strong interest in Defense Against the Dark Arts during his final year in Hogwarts and for a while he wanted to become an Auror, just like his Mum. That was until he moved to Ilvermorny and got into Potion making instead.

โ‹† โ‹† Pretty much has the worst eyesight known to man. Was prescribed glasses around the time he was sixteen, but refused to wear them because it would've made him look uncool. Harry was personally attacked by that statement.
