Calisto, who goes by Cali is one of Mel's alters. This is the last of Mel's alters. Mel is co-present with me as I write this. I am listening to her as she describes Cali.
Cali is a very dark alter. She rarely comes out anymore. She says she has better things to do. Cali was born from abuse and suffering. She is the fire in our soul. Cali is powerful and works behind the scenes so to speak. She can move energy and change things for the good or the bad in our lives. Mel says Cali was born about the same time she was born. Cali is wise and Mel often goes to her to seek her council on matters. No one can lie to Cali because she can see through the lies. She has a piercing look and can literally look right through a person.
Cali frightens people when she is out. She can be aggressive and says what is on her mind. She does not hold back. She can be sensual in a dark way and in a destructive way. When we were younger, and when Cali came out, we used to cut on ourselves. It was a dark time and has long ago passed but we still know it as a signal in others as to people who are being sexually abused. Cali knows all the signs and can spot it quickly.
Mel says Cali is the punisher. When she comes out, it is to do some damage. She is not a healer and works more in destruction of things. When things in our life have needed to be torn down, it was Cali that did it. She was the one who caused our ex to move out of the house and leave us alone. He feared us when Cali was out because she is not afraid to speak exactly what is on her mind and she can be threatening.
Cali and Jesse get along because he has alters that understand her. However, she rarely comes out so he does not have much interaction with her unless he asks for her for some reason.
Jesse gets along with all the alters. He approaches them with respect and love. We don't have any alters that want to hurt the body anymore. When we did it was Cali. She has changed.
The only alters that ever fought with Jesse were the ones who were protecting me at the time. It was a little rocky for Jesse and I in the beginning. However, his love never wavered. He was steadfast and convinced all my alters and all Mel's alters that he loved them all and he wanted only good for us. He has proven that over the six years we have been together. Now, all the alters know Jesse loves them and they love him back. Jesse always says love is an action. He acts in loving ways and showers us all with his affection. Jesse sees us as no one else does and he sees the truth behind us all. Jesse is in the soft places inside us where no one has ever gone before. He loves the light in us and he loves the dark in us. I think he prefers the light and is so drawn to it because it is different than he is. But we are working on him and softening him up, I think.

What a stunning picture and an awesome post. Cali matches up well with certain people and I think it's great she's finally able to do that. To find her place where she can lay down her weapons so to speak. She's fierce and very beautiful in a dark way I totally love. Love you, all of you xoxo

Oh sweetie when I first saw her she is intense. She is exotic in a mysterious way. Glad she came out to help you remove the Ex from your life. She was your voice when you needed her, happy she is settled and poses no danger.You found your soul mate with Jesse and I know I have said this before, but think God blessed you to find each other. You both have much pain and trials, the blessing is traveling this journey together. God bless you both my sweet friends!

I think I may have a little Cali in me, I have a big problem of speaking what is on my mind with no regard of what's coming out of my mouth. I've always been like that and as I've gotten older and a stronger person it's been worse. I feel like I'm standing up for myself and sometimes I can even say something the wrong way to my family, but they are use to it and understand I don't mean anything by it that's just the way things come out of me sometimes. I'm so happy you have Jesse and he has you. I think moving thru this life alone is hard enough, but when you have any kind of issue as you or I do it's so important to have love and support from a partner. Kids are great, but your partner is there for you in ways your kids can't be. I don't know what I'd do without my husband and I don't always make it easy for him. Jesse had to prove to your alters and Mel's alters that he loved them, my husband had to break thru the wall of protection I built after my abusive ex-husband and the other stuff I told you about. But, it worked we've been married 20 years and together 23. My wish for you and Jesse is long life feeled with nothing but joy and happiness! Love and Hugs, Rhana

@rboowybe I love how you speak your mind! And you are right, it’s so important to have a loving partner by your side! I’d be lost without Jesse.
