  • With the plethora of K-pop girl groups these days , Star Beam is a girl group that you shouldn't miss: they are talented, consistent in releasing bops, hardworking, stylish, pretty and down to earth.

    The subject of this article is Yujia who has many roles in the group as the sub-vocalist, rapper, main dancer, center, face of the group and maknae (youngest) of Star Beam. These days she is one of the sought after female idols of K-pop who works hard just like her band mates who she fondly called 'unnies' (older sister)

    Yujia is known for her angelic beauty plus model-like figure (witty personality, effortless style & of course overflowing talent). Aside from being a girl group member (who is currently on "Beaming Memories" tour which is their first world tour), she also do MCing at Music Bank with NCT 127's Johnny (who is also on leave like her), Golden Child's Bomin & actress Shin Yeeun.

    Yujia has her fair share of beauty moments which is about fresh & clear skin with hints of color (eyes &/or lips). Also her hair is the talk of her town. Recently, her appearance in NCT 127's "Highway to Heaven" created a buzz for her effortless natural beauty & shiny hair.

    SKINCARE






    "I used to have pimples when I have puberty & now, I found the right ones for me 😁 I wash my face twice a day, morning & evening. Same does to toner & moisturizer. Before I go out of the dorm or applying makeup on my own, I apply sunscreen. Also I bring wipes & facial mist in my bag for quick touch ups. Now that we're touring, I transfer some of the facial wash, cream & toner in smaller containers. I almost forgot, I mask twice a day. Also sleep 8 hours a day, drinks lots of water & eat healthy so you won't look like a zombie. And a positive outlook in life can help. Wait, did I just talk to myself? 🀣 "

    ORAL HYGIENE



    "I brush my teeth four times a day, every day. Sometimes 6 times. I really panicked if I don't bring these babies in my bag. I think it's just me. But in the MV filming, I brushed my teeth in the desert while NCT 127 sunbaenim is filming their choreography because I don't know what should I do if I have a kissing scene or what but what I know is I will act in that MV. I look stupid in front of everyone but good thing I brought a liter of water with me 🀣"

    MAKEUP












    "Sorry to shock you but this is my current makeup collection πŸ˜„ Usually, when I do makeup on my own for MC-ing, busking, variety shows, filming videos or basically my daily makeup, I only bring 6 products: base, brow pencil, stick eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, face palette & lip balm. But in the MV shoot like 'Highway to Heaven', I bring a cushion, eye shadow, 2 eyeliners, my face palette & a tinted lip balm. Why 2 eyeliners? I suck at putting eye shadows quickly since we only have few minutes to prettify ourselves to go out in the dorm. I use black eyeliner to tight line my upper waterline & brown eyeliner like my main eyeliner (puppy eye liner) so I hide the fact that I look like a zombie from practicing hard 🀣 Also eyebrows & eyelashes are non-negotiable. Another tip is, when I do makeup at night, I only apply brown eyeliner on outer & inner corners then smudge it.This face palette is so helpful that I don't bring too much makeup anymore since it has many purposes. Then I bring my lip balms depending on the mood 😁 "

    HAIR




    "During the 'Highway to Heaven' MV, I only use my hot air brush to style my waves. Okay, when I was a teenager, I don't know how to style my hair with hot tools, sorry πŸ˜† But I prefer this multitasking hot-air brush because it's so easy to pack in the luggage compare to separate hair tool. But please, first, before you use any hot tool, please protect your hair with a heat protecting spray. Also after I style my hair with a curl mousse if I want to have waves. I also use hair spray if I want beach waves or just a lift on my hair. Also I let my hair breathe by sparing a day without using heat tools. Also I use a shampoo & conditioner everyday for my color treated hair. This purple hair is the most drastic thing I ever did in my life"

    FRAGRANCE



    "This one (left) is what I use everyday in idol commitments & the other one is for the formal occasions like award shows. The latter is what I used in the 'Highway to Heaven' MV filming so Johnny & I won't look awkward on screen. Good thing we're not awkward but he sniffed my neck when we filmed our scene in the rain. Actually, the lyrics is actually not that wholesome in English but the guys are trying to be wholesome in the MV πŸ˜† Then he keeps on smelling at me from time to time but the director decided to exclude it in the final cut"

    NAILS & HANDS



    "Pink is my favorite & happy color (& also my representative color in the group) so I paint my nails in different shades in pink & mauves. Depending on the concept we do. In formal events, nail art or glitter. I'm actually low maintenance with nails. Also, I cut my nails every now and then. I use hand creams everyday. Also please check your nails before you go on a date or any work interview."
