Star Beam's maknae, Yujia, already has the makings of a leading lady!
Her appearance in NCT 127's "Highway to Heaven" gave them (I mean, Star Beam & NCT 127) the hype they deserved with the rich aesthetics & the catchy bop! Today, she reveals the behind the scenes in her perspective through the group's web show, Ch.STRBM!
Aside from the supportive unnies who visited them, the JohnJia content (yep, they almost kissed in the MV), and the adorable friendship of NCT 127 & Star Beam, the highlight of this episode is the story of the iconic white dress she wore on the MV. The entire Star Beam is regarded as the patrons of thrift shopping thanks to their visits to thrift shops around Seoul in order for them to have outfits for their covers during their predebut. Even they're celebrities already, they still go bargain hunting together occasionally for their TV appearances in variety shows. Yujia have a story time segment. During NCT 127 & Star Beam's US trip, Yujia accompanied the stylist of NCT 127 in the thrift shop to find the perfect white dress for the lead actress. Yujia says that she thought that one model or an SM trainee or a Red Velvet member will appear in the MV and she wonders why she has to accompany their stylist but since she rarely shops, she said yes. After a long hours of spending on how to find the perfect dress, Yujia found the dress & she tries to fit the dress. As she came out of the fitting room, the director and the stylist were enamored of her angelic beauty and decided that she will appear on the MV. Of course, the director watched Star Beam's MVs and Prologue films. As Yujia said, "They should have tell me in the first place. I was so haggard helping their stylist in finding the dress. But it's okay, I enjoy our trip to the thrift shop". When Yujia went back to the hotel room, the unnies are super happy to hear that their maknae will star in the MV
During the filming, she does her makeup on her own & styled her hair into effortless waves because she doesn't want to bother NCT 127's hair & makeup artists. Yujia reveals that she already brought her flats during the trip and their (Star Beam)'s stylist let her borrow the gold necklace she wore to match the desert. Also she shared funny anecdotes about NCT 127 & she is spotted hanging out with them. When JohnJia filmed their scene in the rain, everyone brought out their cellphones. JohnJia were really flustered in the scene because everyone is watching but they did their job well.
