After the ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐ฃ๐ค of the twenty-first century escalated into the third (and fourth, and fifth) world wars, a general by the name of ๐๐๐ช๐๐ ๐ฃ ๐ธ๐๐ฃ๐ โ๐ ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ-๐๐๐๐ staged a coup and seized control of the ๐ธ๐๐๐๐๐ โ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฅ๐๐ ๐, AKA the world's governing body, effectively making her the first ever worldwide dictator. And the world, already half-decimated by environmental crises and war alike, began to rebuild.
The first years of the Rodriguez-Wang dictatorship were brutal. Whole cities were wiped out in the pursuit of crushing alleged rebels and dissenters. Anyone who had opposed Rodriguez-Wang in any way in the past was killed. People could still taste ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฃ ๐ in the air. But slowly, so painstakingly slowly, the world began to feel more normal. Poverty and mortality rates went down as infrastructure was repaired. Children began going to school again. And the world stopped ๐๐ฆ๐ฃ๐๐๐๐...at least, for a little while.

To ensure her complete control over the citizens of the world, Rodriguez-Wang began a series of experiments that would eventually lead to an elite squadron of ๐ค๐ฆ๐ก๐๐ฃ๐ค๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ค, with each generation deadlier than the last. At first, adult men and women in their 20's and 30's were given doses of a mysterious ๐๐๐ฃ๐ฆ๐, causing them to attain levels of strength, speed, and durability that were impossible for any normal human, but later on, subjects were either created from clones of regular people or "grown" in test tubes. All were subjected to extreme experimentation and modifications in the form of cybernetics and surgeries. All knew nothing but their duty to carry out orders from Rodriguez-Wang herself.

The ๐๐๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฅ๐๐ ๐ of these supersoldiers served Rodriguez-Wang for five years, before the dictator herself died peacefully in her sleep after reigning as Supreme Leader for sixty years. Her appointed successor, a woman simply referred to as ๐๐ช๐๐ฃ๐, knew that Rodriguez-Wang's ironclad grip on the world had been loosening for twenty years, now. The entire planet waited with bated breath as Tyera negotiated with the various leaders of each region, and the โ๐ ๐๐ค๐ฅ๐๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ โ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ was signed within the year, granting countries and regions their autonomy once more, though the ๐ธ๐๐๐๐๐ โ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฅ๐๐ ๐ continued to exist, with Tyera at the head.
The 6th Gen supersoldiers were given the choice to stay on as a part of the Confederation's "peace-keeping" forces, or to leave and try to start a new life. Those who opted for the latter are monitored closely, by both the Confederation and the various governments of the world. Those who chose the former now make up an elite force called the ๐พ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐. They are essentially the military and police force of the international community.
๐ฐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
It has been six years since the death of Rodriguez-Wang. The youth of the world, so used to the harsh repression and censorship of the Rodriguez-Wang dictatorship, has grasped onto their newfound liberty by force, taking to the streets and partying wildly. There are drugs and booze aplenty as what was once forbidden is now permitted. In the creative world, explosions of pop culture have led to new, innovative art and music styles. The anarchists enjoy the party. The conservatives balk.
But all is not well in the world. Once-prominent government and military officials are chafing under the rules of the new, ultra-liberal Confederation. And not two hours ago, ๐ธ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐-๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ (of the ๐พ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐พ๐ฆ๐๐ฃ๐, an international police force under the Allied Confederation that handles any jobs that are not important enough to send off to the Global Legion) has taken the entire โ๐๐๐ โ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ of the Confederation hostage, intending to forcibly seize control of the Confederation and return the world to a military dictatorship.
๐จ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐.
The world's governments have condemned him. TV stations are in an uproar. College students are hoarding guns and explosives and Googling how to make DIY Molotov cocktails, while their parents rush to the grocery store to stock up on supplies, remembering the last world war and the subsequent coup de'tat.
Tyera has disappeared into thin air. The world is at a standstill. And the final decision rests on the shoulders of the ๐พ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ and the other supersoldiers of the ๐๐๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฅ๐๐ ๐. Do they support Singh-Smith, guaranteeing themselves a life of comfort and luxury? Or do they support the new High Council of the Allied Confederation-the same people who watch over them like they're criminals on probation; the same people who track their every move and won't even let them leave their city of residence without a special permit-and condemn the Global Guard?
Whatever choice they make, everyone is watching. Waiting. And outside, the world ๐๐ฆ๐ฃ๐๐ค.

โโ๐๐๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ฃ๐๐ is mostly the same as the one we know, in terms of societies. Organized religion is still a thing. So are public schools and civilian governments. Technology is more advanced, and environmental issues are more pressing. Gender, sexuality, religion, and race-based discrimination still exist, to varying degrees. There are still liberals, and there are still conservatives. Instagram is a thing.
โโ๐๐๐ โ๐๐๐ โ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ is a relatively new institution, established after the death of Rodriguez-Wang. It contains representatives from every country in the world. It is considered a part of the ๐ธ๐๐๐๐๐ โ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฅ๐๐ ๐, with the ๐พ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐พ๐ฆ๐๐ฃ๐ (general police force and shock troops) and the ๐พ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ (more specialized police/military force; includes members of the 6th Gen) being the two other institutions under the Confederation.
โโ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฅ๐๐ ๐ of supersoldiers are widely regarded with fear and distrust, seeing as they were basically engineered to be walking weapons who obeyed nobody other than Rodriguez-Wang. After the dictator's death, they were given the choice to either join the Global Legion and continue serving the Confederation, or to live "normal" lives. Those who opted for the latter, however, have found that the High Council closely monitors every single aspect of their lives, from their homes, emails, phone conversations/texts, and social media accounts to their personal relationships. There are many restrictions placed on their lives; they must, for example, obtain a permit every time they decide to travel outside the municipal boundaries of their chosen city of residence. They are not allowed to publicly express any sort of political views, even on private social media accounts (since the High Council fears that lingering supporters of Rodriguez-Wang will try to turn them to their side), and there is a long list of companies that have blacklisted any former supersoldiers, limiting their career options. If that wasn't enough, each and every one of them is followed by agents deployed by the High Council, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
โโ๐๐๐ ๐ค๐ฆ๐ก๐๐ฃ๐ค๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ค ๐ ๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐พ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐, on the other hand, are often treated as indestructible tanks (which they lowkey kind of are, but still). None of them are permitted to hold anything above a mid-ranking position (for the fear of another military coup a la that of Rodriguez-Wang), and they are often given the most dangerous jobs and the least back-up. They are usually the last to receive medical attention (because of their enhanced healing and alla' that) and basically are allowed no personal life whatsoever. Many have (quietly) remarked that being a part of the Global Legion is no different from serving as the elite task force of Rodriguez-Wang; they are still regarded as walking weapons, and still expected to obey every order to the T.
โโโ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ is where the High Council convenes, and where the Allied Confederation has its headquarters. The main Legion/Guard bases are here, too, and many 6th Gen supersoldiers who chose not to join the Legion reside in this city. It is also where Admiral Singh-Smith is currently holding the Council hostage; he and a number of armed men stormed the chamber that the High Council meets in not two hours ago (relative to RP time).
