Dark Kingdom Music (DKM) was established by acclaimed first gen artist, Moon Ryeo Guk in 2012. During his first press interview since opening Moon said his company would focus on creating global artists who will change the Korean music scene. On January first 2015 DKM debuted their first ever group, dєcчphєr. The group was slow to take off, many people finding their debut song and mini to jarring or feeling indifferent to it. It wasn't until July 2017, when the group released their first full album changing their sounds ever so slightly to go for a sound that was more public friendly while maintaining their hard hitting lyrics. When it came to his second group Moon lived upto his earlier statement and went global in 2014 DKM held several auditions in countries across the world to find nine perfect members for his next group. In October 2018 ɪᴅʟ.ɪᴢᴇ debuted, a nine member girl group who debuted with a "girl crush" concept , unlike their sunbaes they were met with immediate success their debut single gaining them a reasonably size fanbased and their first win. In early 2019 DKM announced that they will be debuting two new groups this year, nycto, in the next quarter. Nycto is a conceptual based 9 member boy group who will be the new princes in the Dark Kingdom. They will also debut wndrlnd, a 8 member girl group not much is known about the groups concept or sound but it's believed to include several members from the last season of Produce.

DKM's first idol group, a rap heavy boy group that after years of struggle finally made it big having their first win in mid 2017. The group has steadily been growing now considered as a mid to top tier group. The group itself have had some issues in the past, during their first comeback anti's targeted the supposed visual member claiming that he was only the group to make numbers up. He then said that he scoured the world looking for the perfect girls and apparently he found them.The girls themselves really do fit the idol mold, talented enough and pretty enough with just a hint of personality. That been said the group benefited from decypher's success because of their sunbae's group idl.ize had quick success, getting their first music show win with their debut.
