๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ข๐ง: Uranus' blood. Greece. Callisto sprung from the flowing blood of her father as, his son, Kronos killed him off. With a tint of gray to her skin, a shimmer of silver to her hair, and a light of cloud-free night, she quickly took to roaming the entire European continent before being placed in the US. Unfortunately, she's lost the accent and has succumbed to too many American customs.๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ซ: Cis-female

๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ข๐๐ฌ & ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฌ: Callisto is a lunar nymph. Placed in the US once people started really paying attention to the sky, this daughter of Uranus wasted no time in getting to know her abilities.
โฎ It quickly became apparent that she had the power to keep order within the sky. Intrinsically connected to Earth's moon and the many moons in the solar system, but mainly focuses on Earth's. If any foreign object had any chance of tampering with her pristine canvas of the solar system fell into her realm, it was up to her to get rid of that risk immediately.
โฎ Controls eclipses.
โฎ At full moon is at her most wicked, her most powerful, her best sounding. At new moon she's at her weakest, can barely get out of bed and will post mate insomnia cookies to her apartment all night long.
โฎ Immortal but can be killed.
โฎ Has control over lunar light, can utilize it when need be. All of the lights in her house have a small, glowing orb in place of a light bulb.
โฎ Can control the tides when in extreme anger.
โฎ Has the ability to shape shift into a Velarian, a perennial pink and white flower.
โฎ Can sense all other bodies in the galaxy and protect the Earth and moon from any danger. No need to panic when that asteroid comes hurting towards us, kids.๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ฐ๐ฌ: Acts before thinking, endless energy at night - could be nocturnal if her friends would let her, biting temper, holds grudges like nobody's business and let's remember she's immortal, blunt to a fault, will actively write songs about her mortal friends' drama, gets into funks during a new moon where she will just be the most negative nancy.
๐๐ข๐ซ๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ฌ: A night owl - does her best work at night, hard-working, fun to be around, compassionate, confident, thoughtful towards her friends - a big gift giver who likes to say I love you before she hangs up the phone, has learned to value those who go out of their way to check up on her, knows so much about outer space... even stuff you can't google, great secret-keeper, good at balancing work and her personal life, pretty clear-headed and honest, an air of mystery always lurks around her.๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐ฏ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฝ๐๐๐๐๐๐: 18 years

Born at what felt like the big bang of the universe, Callisto opened her eyes to the vast expanse of the dotted sky above her, strung together by too many elements and newly born planets, nearly free from impact distress. She had flowed downstream in the river created at the hand of Kronos. She blinked hello and the moon seemed to wink back.
Gaia was the one to engulf her into the knowledge of the world. She didn't need to be told there was something about the galaxy that was intrinsically hers, she could feel it. Each loose comet that rammed into her precious moon hurt her, each plate that moved beneath the surface, each foot that touched the ground. But then the water went underground, into hiding.
Before man had even an idea of interaction with the celestial bodies, Callisto roamed freely. She tended to the products of Earth's moon on the rocky planet. She watched over the tides, women's menstrual cycles, the tame winds, and the movement to nighttime. She crossed from the Alps to the Pyrenees, churning the world, for better or for worse, in the guise of night.
She could see the eyes of men on her silky, celestial hair. She could feel them watching her as she slinked into the pub on a wild Friday night. She took too many lovers from the Renaissance to the Age of Enlightenment to quell her hurt over a lost, mortal lover. No one could quite heal the hole in her everlasting heart, especially not for just a night. Henrick had filled half of a century of her life. An explorer, ready to quest out with his lady by his side, a fatal fall from atop of Mont Blanc. Word was sent to Callisto, the never-aging lover, immediately with an air of mystery and secrecy around the circumstances. She clutched her lover in her hands, praying, hoping, wishing to anyone and anything to bring him back.
50 years had felt the longest of any before, 50 years had felt the quickest of any others, the most cheated, the most emotional, the most loved.
Callisto was lost. She had lived for so long before but never experienced anything like this. She was ready to lay her life down, changing into a cluster of Velarians until the moon begged her for help. But Selene called upon her soon after, saying they were in desperate need, they needed her in the United States - the "Americans" were getting out of hand.
And then she met Mayan.
๐๐๐ ๐๐๐
After years of running wild through the blossoming cities of the new Western society, the two finally found a place and time they were perfectly in the right place: LA, 1960. Way back when, Callisto and Mayan worked in harmony: two girls, a guitar and a tambourine. The puffs filled the Volkswagons, the flowers danced through their hair, and they stood in line with the protests.
"Equality for all!" Callisto would call, her fist in the air and arm linked through her best friend's.
Their anthems were calls for change, and girl power, with hints of everlasting life. Not much notoriety rung with their name and that was fine for Callisto. All she needed was her best pal and some tunes and she was happy with life.
But when a solar nymph strove to shine bright, to be heard, to be known, but the lunar nymph wished to go deeper, be edgier, get harder. Something was bound to change.
๐๐๐ ๐๐๐
The duo lasted until the mid-70s. But 75 was when the split hit. Their magic as a duo had faded with their efforts focused on different aspects of genre and tune.
So another route called their names - they traveled around, following the iconic 70s bands across the country. A couple of girls in the back of a couple of tour buses, just chilling, because what else can you do when you're an immortal, supernatural being?
Then and there, Callisto decided the 70s were her favorite decade of all. She could listen to the bands on replay for an eon if she needed to. It was the people, the fashion, and the music. It was her in a time period.
๐๐๐ ๐๐๐
With their newfound notoriety in the band scene, the next step was an easy jump.
Two of the top cocaine dealers in the music scene of LA, Callisto and Mayan brought Erbos and Basil officially onto their main team. Friends for the last two centuries, with the gentlemen helping with their music career a decade and a half before, the crew was perfectly assembled - the two girls as dealer, the two men as the money makers - one in dollars, one in supernatural currency. The money piled up, more than either girl had ever seen or needed before. All seemed well, all seemed good.
And then there was a crash.
And Mayan was cast down to Tartarus.
๐๐๐ ๐๐๐
Last time: Callisto was called upon too quickly to go through with her plan. This time: She wasted no time.
Callisto made her run into the California countryside when she decided she couldn't go on much longer without her other half. She hunkered down, she held her knees, and she shifted.
It didnโt take Basil very long to find her.
He had searched each forest, every field, and all potted plant around California that had meant anything to her. Then he saw the expanding cluster of Velarians in the middle of a pale, bluebell field.
He kneeled into the dry dirt, his knees on either side of her grove. He scooped the center, the biggest bloom into his hands and whispered her name, "Callisto."
She shifted in his arms, her head buried into the crook of his neck. Her silver hair was gone, the blue from the bluebells turning her silver curtain purple. Her eyes shone with tears sheโd held onto from days before.
๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐
Basil burst through the doors of the shared studio apartment one bright, New York afternoon.
โCALLIE!!โ He slapped the magazine down hard on the table, his palm sticking to it, bewilderment on his face.
When he moved his fingers, the shining face Callisto had known for so many centuries before looked back at her.
โBut...โ her eyes stuck to the cover, her legs locked in place.
โI donโt know what happened but I know one thing: no one gets out of Tartarus that quickly.โ Basil paced around the table, his mouth spewing any answer his brain could muster, โMaybe someone liked her, they gave her an easy time, they let her out early-โ
โNo.โ A rage pierced through Callisto like she had never before experienced, like a lightning bolt coarsing through her veins, โShe left us.โ
And when the trio of crash survivors showed up at โMay Achesโ concert at Terminal 5 and caught her when she was signing autographs out back - her face said it all:
Mayan had left them behind.
Callisto coarsing with anger led her to the steps of Dorian Records, her love of 70s tunes fueling her. It took a few years of lounging on the leather couches in the waiting room and seeking out the best babes she could find to jam with but now she said finally done it - quickly on the rise in the industry and read to fight the girl she spent centuries with voice-on.
