A life of luxury was never in the cards for Saffron Perry. Her mother will tell you stories of Saffron grew up tracking her dirt-ridden footprints through their house on her quest to run to her father's study, spin the globe, put her hand over her eyes, and pick the country she would pretend to explore that day. A Londoner from a family of five, she never felt perfectly at home with the raindrops falling on her head each morning. Then again, Saffron never felt at home anywhere. Each new place she ventured to was wondrous, awe-striking, empowering... but then the next one was calling her name. She could never be one of those kids traveling on their parent's dime just to put their life-changing videos of it on YouTube. For one, her parents had no money. Secondly, Saffron cringed at the sight of those kids, she saw them as undermining her love of the most undeveloped, natural places in the world - an unfair and cruel move. The question was what job would allow her to move about freely and with purpose.

Her professor, Gerry Cain, knew just the answer.

Saffron found herself on her first archaeological dig in Athens over the summer going into her junior year of college. She put her hands on her khaki-clad hips and stared down at the sectioned off areas of rubble below her feet. The smell of cracked dirt floated into her nose while the sound of a discovery rung through her ears: the first piece of pottery she had ever found rested on her palm. 800 B.C. and first touched, so many years later, by Saffron Perry.

After meeting Oliver Harris at the unveiling of her finds at the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, he was ready to snatch her up for his next dig. He just had a feeling about this place. He just had a feeling about her.
Discoveries: The caves of Catacalla, Cave Art dating 1300 BC, Oliver Harris

↝ Gᴜᴊᴀʀᴀᴛ, Iɴᴅɪᴀ
Saffron's first expedition into moving up in the world. She served as second in command to Oliver. They begun where the last group had stopped - at the posts on each end of the ground. Little did that last group of archaeologists know, so much more was waiting for them beneath layers and years or earth.
Discoveries: Lothal Trade Posts, Burial Ground, That she was in Love.

A promising lead of a perfect circle beneath the rubble turned the crew up shorthanded.
Discoveries: Nothing... absolutely nothing.
