cheaper alternatives to glossier (thank me later) ♡
i love skincare and would be happy to do an ongoing skincare series. please comment your suggestions and/or if you would like to be tagged when i make a post. here are some of my own:
- skincare by age: teens, early 20s, late 20s
- recommended drugstore products
- moisturizer suggestions by skin type (oily, combo, dry, normal)
anyways, on with the post!
here are some cheaper alternatives to glossier, a very expensive brand that may or may not be overrated at this point. they have some good products, but other brands (even drugstore!) have created some similar products that may even be better than glossier's.
instead of the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser, try...
BLISS MAKEUP MELT, $10
"a universal cleanser and eye makeup remover with soothing rose flower that is super gentle, yet amazingly effective - even for the most sensitive skin." – i have this product and i love it! i rub it in to a dry face full of makeup, then i use a wet cloth to remove the makeup. you can use this as a wet or dry cleanser.
instead of the Glossier Solution, try...
COSRX BHA BLACKHEAD POWER LIQUID, $15
"clinically proven to reduce blackheads & excess sebum & hydrate skin" – this is so good for oily/combo skin!
PIXI GLOW TONIC, $14
"glycolic acid gently exfoliates skin to reveal healthy, glowing skin underneath, while ginseng improves circulation to keep your skin looking great" – makes your skin soft and glowy!
instead of the Glossier Balm Dotcom, try...
VASELINE ROSY LIP BALM, $2-3
"this tinted lip balm has a non-sticky formula that melts into lips to lock in moisture while enhancing your lip color" – i freaking love this lip balm, it saved my wallet
instead of the Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich, try...
EQUATE BEAUTY STRIKINGLY UNIQUE MOISTURIZING LOTION, $4
"100 percent fragrance-free moisturizing lotion penetrates deep below the surface to provide long-lasting hydration. this formula is beneficial for both dry and combination skin"
NO7 BEAUTIFUL SKIN DAY CREAM, $15
"enriched with rosehip oil to smooth dry areas" – there's different formulas of this for different types of skin!
are there any dupes for glossier you would like to mention? feel free to comment below!
Thank you very much for this informative & useful post dear! Skincare is truly important for all ages. Beauty products should definitely be proper in terms of skin type.
this is awesome, thanks! i've heard really good things about cosrx stuff and am thinking about trying it! I was testing out The Ordinary Lactic Acid %5 as a AHA chemical exfoliant but it breaks me out and i get super oily after using it (and i have desert dry skin lol) so maybe i'll look into these more and try one of them instead for some exfoliation haha
im obsessed with skin care too!!
