How do you research an unfamiliar website or project?
-
Whenever I come across a new project online, I try to spend a few minutes researching it before deciding whether I want to explore it further. I used to skip this step and simply follow whatever page appeared first in the search results, but that sometimes led me to old discussions or incomplete information. Now I prefer to find the original source and look at the available documentation. In this case, the website is a useful place to begin because the project files and general information can be viewed directly. I would check the repository activity, read the description and look at the available instructions before making assumptions about what the project does. It is a small habit, but it makes online research much more organised.
