Fishing Time vs regular slots — is the simpler format better?

I’m wondering what everyone thinks about these newer wheel-based casino games compared with traditional slots. I’ve played plenty of slots over the years, but sometimes I feel like I spend more time figuring out the bonus features than actually enjoying the game. Instead of reels and paylines, you place a bet on one or more sections of a large wheel and then wait for it to stop. Also, does the fishing theme actually add anything, or is it basically just decoration around a wheel?

I think the biggest difference is the pace and the amount of information you have to process. Fishing Time is much more stripped down than a typical slot, so you’re basically deciding which sector to back and then watching the wheel. One thing I found interesting is that the wheel has 23 White Fish sectors, 23 Black Fish sectors, four Big Catch sectors, three Huge Catch sectors and one Mega Catch sector. There can also be random multipliers from x2 to x10 attached to sectors before a spin. For me, that makes each round feel quick and easy to follow without having to remember a giant paytable. On the other hand, someone who enjoys complicated slot features might find it too basic. I’d definitely recommend trying the free demo first, because that gives you a better idea of whether the format is entertaining for you. And as with any random casino game, I wouldn’t confuse the RTP or multipliers with a promise of profit — there’s no guaranteed strategy.
