Want to play a shooter, any recommendations?

Hi everyone, I’m in the mood to play some kind of shooter, but I’m not sure which one to choose. I don’t really want anything too complicated or overloaded with mechanics, just a solid and fun game where I can jump in and enjoy shooting and teamwork. I used to play Counter Strike 1.6 a lot back in the day, and I really liked its simple but competitive gameplay. Are there any good shooters you would recommend right now, or is it still worth going back to CS 1.6?
