Is the FPS counter in CS 2 important?

Guys, is the FPS indicator in CS 2 really as important as everyone says? I'm just starting to learn this game, so a lot of it is new to me. I hope I'll find support here as a beginner, and not condemnation for my ignorance. What should the FPS be, and how can I increase it if necessary?

Of course it's important, it's the main indicator of the quality of the gameplay itself. It is responsible for the smoothness of the image and the presence or absence of obvious lag. I found how to see FPS in CS2 on VRedux. Have you heard anything about this service? I first came across it when I was looking for cheats to boost the frame rate, because 60 wasn't enough for me. I wanted to get at least 100, because the higher the frame rate, the better I play and the enemies don't blur in my sights. By the way, it really helped, I was able to improve my stats a little.
