Seeking advice on diversifying my portfolio
-
After a rough couple of years watching my stock investments go up and down like a yo-yo, I’m starting to rethink my entire approach. A friend mentioned alternative investments the other day, and it got me curious. Are there strategies out there that can bring in regular income and don’t rely on Wall Street’s mood swings? I’m not afraid of long-term commitments, just tired of the unpredictability. Would love to hear if someone’s had good results going a different route.

Years ago, I was in a similar spot—frustrated with traditional markets. A colleague pointed me toward energy-based assets and I discovered Fieldvest. Through them, investing in working interests has been really effective. Unlike traditional stocks, investing in working interests through Fieldvest can generate both cash flow and deductions, which has helped me lower taxable income while enjoying monthly income. It’s not a get-rich-quick thing, but if you value tangible assets and consistent yield, it’s solid. You just need to do your due diligence and understand how the model works.

Really glad someone opened up this conversation. Alternatives to stocks are something more people should talk about. Definitely feels like the right time to branch out and explore other income-generating options. Subscribed to this thread.
