Since 2017, Star Beam captures the hearts of the public through their outstanding charms as idols who actually, princesses in disguise. The girl group talks about their new hobbies during the quarantine, comeback preparations, song recommendations during quarantine, their life heroines, being "the idol of idols" to their juniors, and BFF bonding. Also we commend all of the members trying to communicate with us in English even in simple sentences (Chloe and Yujia are the most fluent)

Our virtual photoshoot and interview was made possible through Zoom app and Star Beam did well in being their own glam team

What is your new quarantine hobby?
Now, I'm interested with gardening unlike my childhood days LOL. I keep on buy vegetable seedlings so we won't buy too much in the market. Also I make kimchi on my own. Thanks mom

Describe your dorm life
Hyoshin, Jeonah & Saeyoonie's room is like a hacker's room or internet shop or a recording studio. I can hear Hyoshin cursing loudly during PUBG tournaments
Ryuna & Chaehee's room is like a spa which is relaxing while Yujia & Chloe's room is like being destructed by war since Chloe is bit of a poop hands

Hyoshin is the head chef of the dorm while Yujia is the assistant chef

How is your comeback preparations?
As usual, we are focusing on improving our performance. These days, we try to come up a Dance Challenge for our upcoming song for our fans to follow It's so sad to see our fellow idols being bashed for having "too easy" choreography. Do you remember why we became K-pop fans in the first place? It's because their choreography is catchy. Very easy to follow but cool and memorable
People always asked us on what is our thoughts regarding the upcoming "Girl Group War" in June, for me, I don't see them as rivals per se. All of us have different beauty and skill sets so people should stop comparing and belittle us. Again, our only rival is just ourselves and ourselves only. We just want to be better than our previous works.
We watched "Romeo & Juliet" adaptations for the inspiration for our stage outfits and MV sets. These days, the Renaissance period is very trendy when it comes to fashion but we don't want to be costume-y so we incorporate some trends and mix to our timeless go-to items. And please, no to uncomfortable looks

Let's proceed to the playlist of your life. What can you recommend to us?
Infinite sunbaenim's "Be Mine". OG ByulBis know that Infinite sunbaenims are one of our role models. Also it was the first K-pop song that I cover in high school
High School Musical 2's "What Time is It?". I'm so in love with this franchise that I have to suggest to our agency that we will parody that scene for "Hit That Drum" MV. Also the MV was filmed in my high school back in California
IV of Spades' "Come Inside of My Heart". Only few knows that I'm a fan of different music genres especially rock. This song is so relaxing and sentimental at the same time.
NCT 127 sunbaenim's "Highway to Heaven" Korean Version. It is one of my favorite songs of all time and I listen to this when I get tired. The lyrics of the Korean version is more inspiring compared to the English version Also I love this song even before I knew that I would appear in their English version. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity, NCT 127 sunbaenim~~~~
Speaking of inspiration, "Into The New World" by Girls' Generation sunbaenim. This song inspired many female idols, including us, to dream big. This was my audition song in our current agency and I covered it twice. Once with my fellow members then twice with SIRENS and HEART2HEART. This song gave me hope as I go on with the challenges in my career and life as well
Call me weird but Wonder Girls sunbaenim's "Nobody" [Korean version] paved the way to my idol journey. My boss discovered me when I sing this song in the noraebang because at that time , I have a hard time in my live [I was bullied in school plus my parents just decided to divorce] and she asked me if I would go to the music academy. Without thinking twice, I entered the academy and the rest is history
My audition piece was KARA sunbaenim's "Mister". I practiced this song for two weeks so I can make a good impression. Then, in the Dream Concert, I did the main vocal part for our cover [with AnaRi & Joyce FXN and Hyorin of SIRENS]

In 3 years, you became the "idol of idols" wherein you were mentioned as role models by your juniors
Actually, we are so happy and giddy to hear that many female idols were inspired by our story and our music to go after their dreams. A lot of them are ByulBis too.
I was so shocked when they called us 'idol of idols'. This is the reminder that we should work harder and improve ourselves more~~~

Since all of you are BFFs in real life, how do you bond with each other off cam?
We don't ran out of activities at the dorm so you won't see us clubbing TMI, when we do group workout classes online, Ryuna unnie kicked Chloe

What is your message for the ByulBis around the world?
We are coming back soon so, keep on waiting for us for a bit longer~~~
