Chloe for "Into the Gloss"

  • Welcome to another long overdue installment of Star Beam's Makeup Bags!!!!

With the plethora of K-pop girl groups these days , Star Beam is a girl group that you shouldn't miss: they are talented, consistent in releasing bops, hardworking, stylish, pretty and down to earth.

The last time, we featured maknae Yujia who loves multitasking products in her beauty routine who just to enhance her beauty. This time, we will feature the gorgeous visual of Star Beam, Chloe! The Korean-American member is known for her equal mix of Oriental & Western genes that made her one of the most gorgeous women in the world. Other than her physical beauty, Chloe is also known for her intellect thanks to her achievements as a student. These days, she contributed a lot in the group as the lead dancer, rapper, vocalist and visual. She is known for being a hustler who wants to prove herself that she is more than just pretty by taking through challenges in order to improve her skills.

In beauty, Chloe is a serious advocate of MFBB (My Face But Better) approach. It's surprising that Chloe is not a fan of Instagram Baddie makeup not because she is working in Korea as an idol but because it covers up so much of her real face (COME ON, SHE IS SO SO SO PRETTY!!!!). She is pretty serious with skin care & prefers a fresh makeup on daily basis like variety show appearances (the girls made up on their own and pretty much majority of the girls are former makeup noobs) and fan signs. She prefers her hair to be effortless and shiny.

    SKIN CARE

"Many ByulBis asked me about my skincare routine, so, here we go~~~ I have driest skin the group so I try my very best to moisturize my skin. I cleanse, tone & moisturize my face at least twice daily or thrice if I have a schedule. Cold cream is very common in the US & my grandmother (from my mom's side) has the same skin type as me. I mask & exfoliate twice a week. I have two sunscreens, one for my body & one for my face. A week before our overseas schedule, I transfered some of the skincare into the smaller containers because we might be in the headlines for attempting to smuggle skincare LOL 🀣 You know, Myungsoo sunbaenim smuggling fail but skincare due to overpacking. Also, live a healthy lifestyle & live with a positive mind"

    MAKEUP

"News flash: I'm not that into the contouring process and IDK why~~~ So does the too bright blush so I'm lucky to buy a blush that fits into my criteria. Also I never have plastic surgery in my life, thank you. After the skincare & priming my face, I mixed my liquid highlighter and BB cream and apply to my T-Zone and V-zone (where we could apply highlighter) then spread evenly (also apply on the neck too). Then I go for the usual steps in makeup: Brows, Liner, Lashes, then Lip & Cheek Tint. Back to the blush, I also use this as an eyeshadow to deepen my eyes [for night time, I would build up my eyeshadow in the outercorners]. After I apply cheek tint, I use my blush to define my cheeks little by little so I won't look like being slapped. The reason why I have two eyeliners is: the pencil eyeliner is for tight lining and base for my liquid liner while the liquid eyeliner for the wing (puppy or cat eye, you choose) and faking my lower lashes. I also have two eyelash curler: one [the ordinary one] before mascara and the other [which functions like a hot iron] to enhance my eyelashes which is safer than heating two chopsticks (Oh Lord, why I do I have to risk in the name of beauty?). Then, much like the Gen Zs, I'm into tinted balms and lip & cheek tints that's why my makeup bag looks like a pencil case 🀣"

    HAIR

"The Korean side of me was emphasized through skin care and makeup but my American side [but rather Californian] came through hair. I use sea salt spray to achieve those Californian cool beach waves if I am lazy to style my hair. If there are filming mishaps, dry shampoo comes in handy. I treat my hair thrice a week since I'm so exposed with different chemicals [well, the downside of me being an idol who keeps on dyeing my hair]. If one of us ran out of hair treatment, we tend to use olive oil [an Old Hollywood hack by Rita Hayworth who is not a natural redhead like Ryuna unnie] since we K-pop idols have to maintain our fried hairs 🀣 We all have bad hair days too. Also use heat protect spray before you use hot tools"

    FRAGRANCE

"Ocean-y scent FTW~~~ I always bring this with me everyday. It's my 5th bottle anyway"

    HAND AND NAILS

"I'm pretty low maintenance with nails (when I do my nails on my own) but rather, I go for bright color. Check your nails and wash your hands"
