What would "Highway to Heaven" looked like without those flowers & rain?
"Highway to Heaven" made buzz with the beautiful scenery, the lyrics when it was released in English & the casting of Yujia, it's safe to say that they received the hype they deserve. Last night NCT 127 released the behind the scenes video featuring Star Beam's maknae, Yujia who became their on-screen leading lady where they film all their misadventures in LA desert.
When Yujia appeared suddenly appeared, the MV filming became play time yet they pull off the concept well. NCT 127 called Yujia 'princess' in many occasions in the entire behind the scenes video (actually they called all Star Beam as princess). There are moments in the behind the scenes where the boys being gentlemen towards Yujia. Of course, it's Yujia's 1st MV appearance, the rest of Star Beam showed support both in social media & in person by bringing food for NCT 127, Yujia & their staff
Her on-screen leading man, Johnny, is the one who monitors her solo scenes & tells her not to be nervous just because it the first time she is working with different people other than Star Beam & their team. In one scene, Johnny held the camera in one hand while the other was held by Yujia. During their filming their scene in the (fake) rain, everyone pulled out their phones when Johnny & Yujia get close in the rain, the two can't help but laughed at the clownery they received by their respective band mates. They did a great job (& even Johnny keeps on smelling Yujia's neck & shoulders) to the point that the director decided not to include in the final version. In their defense, they did it because of the unwholesome nature of the lyrics of the English version ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Despite of the heat, NCT 127 & Yujia finished this beautiful MV in 2 days of fulfilling efforts. They wished for the success & love from the fans. The Star Beam members said that they will read the comments of netizens regarding the MV. As of this writing, the English version MV garnered 4.6 million views on YouTube while the Korean version has 3.2 million views.
