COINCIDENCES BETWEEN STAR BEAM & NCT 127

As Star Beam’s first world tour is getting near, I listed some of similarities I observed between Star Beam & NCT 127 ever since I run Star Beam’s account since 2017 in Polyvore (until now right here in UrStyle) & became an NCTzen in 2018 (I know NCT’s existence in 2016 before I became so attached to them last year) . All of those similarities were spontaneous especially the “Superhuman” & “Hit That Drum” connection. (in short, these are the things I realized just now)
Upvote this post to make SM Entertainment mad (Just kidding)- Star Beam was inspired by Infinite (hence, 7 members) while NCT 127’s latest song, “Superhuman”, was produced by 1 Take (a producer who works with some songs of Woollim Artists: Infinite, Lovelyz & Golden Child) that’s why it sounded like an Infinite song in my humble opinion (What will happen if Superhuman was the last OT7 song of Infinite before Hoya leave?)
- Star Beam debuted in January 27, 2017 but if you write it numerically, it becomes 1-27-2017. Sounds familiar? It’s NCT 127 (127 because it’s longitude of Seoul)
- Star Beam & Johnny both debuted in January 2017 (Doyoung was already an NCT member but he was an NCT U member in both “The 7th Sense” & “Without You”)
- Both groups have 7 members in the original line up (NCT 127 has Taeil, Taeyong, Yuta, Jaehyun, Winwin, Mark & Haechan as original members) but Star Beam maintained their fixed lineup while NCT 127 have 3 new members as years go by (Johnny & Doyoung in 2017 while Jungwoo in 2018)
- Their iconic eras, Mermaid Princess & Cherry Bomb were released in June 2017
- Both groups have Chinese & Korean-American members: Star Beam has Chloe (Korean-American) & Yujia (Chinese) while NCT 127 has Winwin (Chinese) & Johnny (Korean-American). The difference between Chloe & Johnny is Chloe has Korean father & American mother & Johnny has Korean parents. Both lived in the United States their whole life before their training years. Chloe is from San Francisco while Johnny is from Chicago.
- Related to the previous fact, ironically, Johnny & Yujia are the MCs of Music Bank. Also they are both the tallest members of their respective groups (Yujia is a 5’7” giant princess without the heels but Johnny
lied about his height a lot #AllMenDoIsLie. I think Johnnyis within 6’2”-6’5”) - Both Winwin & Yujia were scouted by SM Entertainment in different occasions. But Yujia declined the offer because of the warning of her family & MBF trainers
(I will not discuss further regarding Winwin because we already know what happened) - Both groups have 95-98 liners. NCT 127 has exactly 7 members (Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin & Jungwoo) who are 95-98 liners just like Star Beam. Ryuna, Johnny, Taeyong & Yuta are 95 liners. Doyoung, Chaehee, Chloe, Hyoshin & Jeonah are 96 liners. Jaehyun, Winwin & Saeyoon are 97 liners. Jungwoo & Yujia are 98 liners. Jungwoo & Yujia’s age gap is just 6 days (Jungwoo was born on Feb 19 while Yujia was born on Feb 25)
- The vocal trio of both groups have similarities: Ryuna, Hyoshin & Chaehee of Star Beam & Taeil, Doyoung & Jaehyun of NCT 127. Oldest members Ryuna & Taeil are known for being smol yet powerful voices but reserved in real life (yet low key funny AF that became victims of clownery of their dongsaengs). Doyoung & Hyoshin are both 96 liners & savage (Hyo is more low-key savage). Jaehyun & Chaehee are the triple threats (singing, dancing & rapping).
- Taeyong, Yuta, Mark, & Johnny are NCT 127’s counterparts to Star Beam’s rap-dance line which comprises of Yujia, Chloe, Jeonah, & Saeyoon. Though they are more on the rapping & dancing position, they still have pleasantly decent vocals. Star Beam’s rap-dance line have equal ratio of Koreans (Jeonah & Saeyoon) & foreigners (Yujia & Chloe) while Taeyong is the only Korean among the rapper line in NCT 127.
(Okay Jaehyun too but he is mainly a vocalist since debut so does Chaehee) - Jaehyun, Haechan & Jungwoo are the members who are part of both dance & vocal line while Star Beam has Chaehee, Yujia & Hyoshin (Yujia is the main vocalist of the maknae unit, STRBM Adrenaline & Hyoshin can dance too)
- Rappers Mark & Jeonah are both shy & awkward with strangers in real life but crackheads in front of the people they love
- Haechan & Saeyoon used to do ballroom before they became idols
- Taeyong & Chloe are both shy in real life but they have striking visuals
- Star Beam’s “Super Boy” was released on April 2018 (few days right before Polyvore shuts down) while “Superhuman” of NCT 127 was released on May 2019 (which is same day as “Hit That Drum” that became an inside joke in this account)
- Star Beam came back with “I Am” in February 2019 with Jaehyun as the male lead. Coincidentally Jaehyun is also part of the collaboration of “So Am I” by Ava Max which also features Taeyong & Mark. Both songs talks about self-acceptance
- Star Beam rose to notoriety in Mermaid Princess Era where they wore sequins (paired with neutral pieces of course) on different shows & events. Jaehyun also wore a sparkly blazer in Superhuman performances in Neo City (It is a waste to know that he didn’t wore that blazer in Korean Music Shows) reminded ByulBis of Star Beam’s iconic era
- Star Beam's "S/S 2019" & NCT 127's "Regular-Irregular" are both split concept albums but Star Beam has to split the promotions in half ("I Am" is the spring while "Hit That Drum" is summer)

@fxn-official Yeah... I didn't expect this too. I don't know if the fact that we are opposites (we are a fixed girl group from a small company & they are an "unimited numbered" boy group from a big company) makes us click. Again, there are a lot of girl groups who are more popular, prettier & more talented than us then we still managed to click with these guys
