i really miss the creative writing workshops i had in college & i've been wanting to join one lately. it's so difficult as an expat but while i do my research...why not try a virtual one?

nanowrimo provides a platform where you can have a virtual writing group (called a cabin, they're being cute) for the month of april. i want to make one for urstyle writers in case anyone wants to join! i believe they do this in july too
up to 19 people can join!

similar to novel writing month, we would all just set a realistic writing goal for ourselves, no matter how big or small, for the month of april. i'll personally be finishing my nano novel! we'd get to use their awesome word & progress trackers.

what's the point? i'm hoping enough of us are interested so that we can maintain a supportive group of writers outside of urstyle too. we'd keep track/show off word counts. encourage one another. share resources, get playlist ideas, etc. etc. etc.

having support as a creative writer is so important! i really want to just try! and you can of course make & share sets related to your project on here. maybe one day we can even reach a workshop-vibe where we read and comment constructively on one another's drafts...if you have an online platform like that already please let me know :,)

so all you have to do to join this "private camp" is go here and "announce" your project and make your "camper" profile. you can do so using your nano account or just make a new one
then your share your username with me and i'll invite you to the group. jsyk i can't invite you until you announce a project for the event so just put anything for now! april is in 11 days (but HOW!?)

nano has revamped their site to have awesome profiles and i really want to get 2-3 manuscripts done this year using their tools so join meee

this is for anyone interested in creative writing. your april goal can be finishing a short story, a portfolio, a novel draft, planning a roleplay, anything anything anything. you can even just join to get inspired? i'm inspired by so many of you here and i'm trying to expand on it.

Okay so in highschool Nano Wrimo & me were buddies! I love them so much & I would love to join this, but I haven't taken a good look at my account since maybe freshmen year? I will have to see what it looks like but I would love to join this!

i had an epiphany of an idea last night for a NOVEL which is actually more fleshed out in the five dot points i scrambled to jot down than any other story/novel that has just started and then aimlessly continued into the ether of story writing haziness lmfao SO OF COURSE I'LL BE JOINING for that reason and other ... reasons ... ofc

@ayzrules APRIL IS A BUSY MONTH! that's why i've been trying to do as much outlining as i can right now. do a small lil project! a short story! those are h a r d tbh.
and oh man, when i said "make a group" on the archives group i actually meant make the CABIN on the camp nano site! but! if you guys are down...i can make a lil urstyle space for us too? should i? a place where we can link to off-urstyle-projects and related sets? is it necessary?
what do you guys think, do you want a related urstyle group?

hi guys, i hope you get this notification
a little update: i don't think it's necessary to make a urstyle group for us but instead, i think i'll eventually make a little group chat in the private messages option
that way we have a place to update one another when we post something related to our outside projects on urstyle (like a moodboard, etc.) so we can support each other with loving comments!!i do miss running a public writing-related group but i was hoping that's what my archives group is for us so please feel free to bombard its chatroom with anything writing-related at anytime! it's a bit dead ahah
lastly, FOUR DAYS UNTIL APRIL! i have no idea where this month has gone - how frightening tbh. i hope you've had some inspiration and luck in terms of plotting your projects. remember, i can't add you to the lil cabin unless you've made an account/created a project so send me your user if you're interested when you can! i will be posting a lil blurb about my plotting-schemes tonight so we can start a lil
