@auntiehelen What a GREAT idea Helen! Baudelaire is a favorite, in fact he and Rimbaud took over my brain for a while in High School! Love his vibe and his dark side always spoke to me!

I am thrilled and honored to have inspired this contest! I first visited The Waste Land in 11th grade in a new elective my high school offered, Philosophy, taught by one of our history teachers. He explained every single reference and let us know what Eliot was talking about that we wouldn't have understood ("Hurry up please. It's time"). I was fascinated and entranced. The poem has never left me and gets richer and keeps showing me more, even when I am not reading it. Thank you so much for thinking up this contest! I can't wait to view all the entries.
