christmas trip to gangwon-do
dates: 20 december (arrival) to 28 december (return to seoul)
for christmas, several of the members will be travelling to a resort in the taebaek mountains, in pyeongchang, gangwon-do, a region of south korea known for winter sports and within driving distance of seoul. the members have been given a holiday for christmas for the first time in seven years, meaning that the trip will be personal, so no company staff or film crews will accompany them.
party: namjoon (with his girlfriend [mijoo cardenas]), jiwon (with [tba]), hyunseok (with his girlfriend [serena han] and a childhood friend [ryu won-ho]), and teddy (with sasaki saori)
yeonggi is remaining in seoul to work, jungwoo is returning to gwangju to spend the holiday with his family, and jinho replied to the group text too late, so heβs allegedly going to bali. possibly alone? no one knows.
accommodations: the group is staying in a private villa with a dedicated staff. while there is some risk involved, the resort is known for professionalism and privacy and is frequented by chaebols and celebrities, so itβs unlikely there will be any leaks emerging from this holiday.
the villa has four bedrooms with private bathrooms on the second floor, with a fifth bed in a small guest house a minute or twoβs walk away from the main house.
the villa has a number of amenities, including a large kitchen, game room, hot tubs and a sauna, a library and private study, grill, and virtually anything that could be requested will be provided in some manner.
sleeping arrangements:
namjoon and mijoo
jiwon and [tba]
hyunseok and serena
wonho (in the guesthouse)
teddy and saori*
*initially, the question of where saori would sleep was met with some confusion, as teddy and saori didnβt intend to share a bedroom, leaving only the guesthouse, but she and teddy were both concerned about her staying away from everyone else during the night. mijoo offered to share a room with her instead, but saori didnβt want to interrupt a rare week mijoo, [tba], and serena would have with their partners. and it was decided that she would sleep in the bed in teddyβs room and he would take the floor (however, when hyunseok goes to wake teddy and saori for breakfast a few days in, theyβre both in the bed).
dining: the resort has a private chef available, but the kitchen is also fully stocked and the group will try to cook for themselves as often as possible.
planned activities: at the moment nothing is planned for the group as a whole beyond a game night (23 dec) and christmas eve celebrations (24 dec) as well as christmas dinner (25 dec). there will be a surprise dinner on 27 dec to celebrate hyunseok's birthday before returning to seoul.
