Born within Trynas Eiras' walls, Dreamwulf Diablecara has always lived in the lap of luxury. Until she didn't, and her mom strangely passed on from a "witch's curse," as her dad called it. Though the Diablecara family had always been friendly to witches and magical creatures, Wulf accepted this lie for what it was painted as: the truth. It wasn't until her teenage years that her rebellion and frustration with her father's constant departure from the castle that she finally saw through the excuse. It happened one night, when she was talking to Tir Diablecara about her mother, and he slipped and said "I" when he meant to say "the witch" in regards to who killed her mother. It's was simply a Freudian slip, according to him, when Wulf point-blank accused him. Yet, she held onto the sneaking suspicion that it was the truth finding its way out from the weight of the lie.

She'd never tell anyone this, but it's why her father hasn't returned to Tyrna Eiras in over 5 years. Dreamwulf refuses to see him, much less be in the same room as him. And frankly, her father is scared of either reality. Wulf could kill him quickly and quietly, finally exact her revenge for her mother's needless death. Return the favor for countless years without a mother and for the years prior to where her mother suffered from domestic abuse. It was a largely known fact that the Diablecaras were on the verge of a separation when her mother died, but with Queen Pruina coming into power, it was an easier cover-up to blame it on a witch. However, Wulf hasn't sought out to kill her father. She had already determined years ago that was a worthless endeavor, considering everyone would know it was her, and she wouldn't get to watch the life drain from her father slowly, day by day, until he realized that the suffering he felt was the same she felt. Dreamwulf simply had to wait until her father found something precious and take it from him. Simple at that.

Except, the world didn't just want Wulf to have her birth family twisted to the point of no repair. No, it was opted to continue to rip the people she loves from her. Including Claramond. They grew up in the same castle, eventually growing close as they became older. The silly jokes they played on each other turned into excuses to tease and touch each other. It all fun and games until she kissed him, and people started to make assumptions. While Wulf doubts she'll ever get clarification on why he flipped the switch, she assumes it was because of the embarrassment that dating her would cause. It was presumably improper, at least given her father's decline in respect around Tyrnas Eiras. After Claramond broke her heart, Dreamwulf fell into what she could only call a slump. She had felt it coming on for years, but Claramond was the last straw. She started saying in bed most day, and sometimes people noted her irritability and outbursts of crying that seemingly came from nowhere. She started apologizing a lot more too, for silly things like her request to eat dinner alone in her room or for canceling on a game of chess that the other person knew they were going to lose anyways. One time, one of the maids found her in the library, wetting a book with her tears, and that's when the rumor started that she'd lost her marbles a little. People started watching her a little more closely when she would use the knives to cut vegetables for her soups, and they stopped letting her keep Billintine, her prized sword, in her room with her. The walnut in the box above her bed was moved into her locked drawer, and she gave the key to her closest friend. It wasn't until a few months later that Wulf asked for the key back, putting the walnut back to its rightful place. Now, Dreamwulf still struggles to get out of bed somedays, but she'd like to believe she's seeing the end of her phase.

It's no coincidence that her slump started to decrease in severity after Queen Pruina took Wulf under her wing. Dreamwulf had a goal, a way to escape her father's suspect reputation that was only made worse by his failed battles and leagues of dead soldiers. She could have it all, only if she exacted revenge on the person who broke her. She could have was she always wanted, just if she betrayed the person who betrayed her first. All Wulf had to do was play nice with Claramond for a year, ignore his bright smile for a year, and all the things that made him lovely, and she could be one step closer to the crown. Closer to creating her utopia where people like her father don't get away with awful deeds and the innocent prevail.

šŽš•š„š‘š•šˆš„š– ā‹…āˆ˜ā‹… Ironically, Dreamwulf's ambition is often clouded by her tendency to be a sloth. She cuts corners often, marking her as a cheapskate and a lazy bitch, as some might be inclined to call her. Under the surface of this is the source of her laziness and cyclical fatigue: what she assumes to be depression. It isn't like there's much in the way of psychologists that she can visit in secret. Not that she would want to, anyway. It's nothing something she likes to admit to feeling. Especially since the source is a bit laughable.

Beyond her lazy personality, Dreamwulf is incredibly calculating and quick to the punch. She's clever and witty, known to crack a deprecating joke here and there when the moment arises. Known for getting herself out of sticky situations, Wulf used to be Tryinas Eira's resident prankster before she outgrew that phase. Well... she says she outgrew it, but really people started to catch onto the fact that she could and would talk herself out of any situation. Wulf knows when to quit in most situations, except in moments where her ambition blinds her. It's why she let herself be manipulated by the Queen, even when her normally strong sense of loyalty drew her back to Claramond. Even if he broke her heart into a million pieces just like her father did. It happens in chess too- sometimes she can get so blinded by winning she doesn't see her opponent coming straight at her. It's moments where Dreamwulf lacks control that scare her the most

On the other hand, she sees the usefulness of magic. Particularly in achieving her goals. Her dad has also told her stories of the times where magic came in handy for espionage, particularly with cursed objects that acted essentially like trojan horses. And invisibility charms certainly help. Especially now when she's charged with keeping an eye on Claramond.

š‡šˆš’š“šŽš‘š˜ ā‹…āˆ˜ā‹… Dreamwulf's history with magic is limited to only the experiences her father has given her and the things Alva and Eru have told her. Her father is the one who showed her objects charmed with invisibility or truth, a few of which she's stolen here and there, including her grandfather's invisibility cloak. The walnut touched with death that almost killed her father, taking a guard instead, sits in a box on the shelf. Wulf doesn't know why she keeps it, but she fears she never has to use it. At least not on Claramond, despite the hatred she holds for him. Thankfully, no one has bothered to open the box, lest they question her or, heaven forbid, touch the precious nut.
