Group winners number option gone weird.
-
On mobile I can never pick how many winners I can have in group contests. On desktop I can sometimes pick how many but it's hit and miss.
Anyone else have similar issues?? #admin @admin -
@dotingsage Am I the only one having this issue?
-
@dotingsage have you tried rotating your device to landscape mode?
-
@jesuisunlapin it's the drop down menu when filling out the contest. The winner bit is stuck on 1 when on mobile.
I don't know how landscape will help. -
@dotingsage it’s a very common problem. If you are unable to expand a drop-down menu on your phone when it is in portrait mode, just rotate your phone into landscape mode and the menu will expand fine. Have you already tried it?
-
@jesuisunlapin yes I tried that. Why would it matter what way round my phone is? All the other elements of the contest form work. Every section works with the drop down menu except picking how many winners.
Its sooo weird.

@girlies-tip2-0 sometimes iOS apps are portrait only on iPhone. It matters because, especially with complex layouts, it can be difficult to make a good user interface that works well in both modes, and it’s simpler for the developer, and the user, to just support the best one. Sometimes developers don’t want you to use it in landscape mode, simply because the purpose won’t be achieved efficiently.
Sometimes drop-down menus can go unresponsive or appear to be missing on specific environments. For example, on a desktop, when you hover your mouse over a main menu item, the drop-down menu appears. However, on an iPad, there is no hover effect. So when your cursor is on the main menu item, it automatically triggers the main menu link. The iPad treats the hover as a click and immediately opens a web page. The user never sees the drop down menu.
It’s not weird at all, it’s just a bug.
