He slowly began to pull away. Feeling this, she started doing things for his attention. Reading the messages on his phone, Kaia flipped shit when she saw that he was texting other women. A few weeks later, Axel found out that she slept with his acquaintance. With a stone face, he packed up all her things and left them in the driveway. Not too long afterwards Kaia exposes him for emotionally and physically abusing her throughout their relationship.

In 2000 a vocalist from a death metal band attacked him with a knife while high on meth and Dag shot him dead. Dag was released in 2015. He's very close to his sons. BACKGROUND:
Axel was born inquisitive and observant. He remembers a happy, loving childhood. Dag cultured his children and showed them valuable life skills. At seven, his world shattered. His protector and role model was ripped away. Axel spent his free time wandering the forest and thinking about who he was.

Anja struggled with him. Axel enjoyed upsetting traditional expectations with experiments in behavior. He was suspended on numerous occasions and expelled from three schools by the time he was fourteen. Subsequently, he perfected his craft. Axel learned his way around a person, always having a compliment at hand to soften a heart that’s getting ready to call his risks irresponsible or reckless.

Despite the pain that darkened his childhood, Axel never dwelled on the past or future. He took time to cultivate his interests and pursue knowledge. In his teenage years, he already had a sense of who he was and what he wanted from life. Sven, Niklas, and Axel crossed paths in secondary school. They bonded over music and philosophy, jamming out in Axel’s shed after school. They formed AK-47, a screamo band.

A few months later Christen was found through an online forum. As for Gustav, Axel and Sven were in the audience at one of Gustav’s gigs with his then band. After the show, they asked Gustav to audition for their group. In 2011 they released Natt Poet Dag Død (Nighttime Poet Daytime Dead) under the name Skrýmir, with a unique style combining black metal, experimental, atmospheric, and folk.

The band’s first performances as Skrýmir were at Castlefest and the Midgardsblot metal festival. Later that year they signed a contract with Season Of Mist. Skrýmir quickly rose to fame in the underground.

In 2013, Axel landed himself in the hospital. He collapsed outside and a bystander called the ambulance. He was severely underweight. He describes his treatment at the hospital as “being raped with tubes”.

Between 2011 and 2019, Axel and his band released seven albums with two world tours and four European tours. They performed at Wacken Open Air, Hellfest, Roskilde, and Voa. In 2016, Axel announced that he will be launching his own record label, Thulêan Perspective. Currently a new album is on the way.

APPEARANCE: As a 6'4" Scandinavian his appearance is imposing. There have been many instances in foreign countries where people strike up a conversation out of curiosity. His hair is fine and straight, medium-length and light brown. His eyes are big and prominent with a stare often described as intense. Those eyes will yell at you. He is soft spoken and appears reserved. That is, until he drinks.

Sports simple, masculine, well-made clothes. He never reads the labels on his clothes and can't name a designer for the life of him. Axel's wardrobe consists mostly of earthy tones. Often he'll accessorize with rings, necklaces, or bracelets.

LIVING: Axel owns a 4 bedroom 3.5 bath home in Holmenkollåsen, Norway and a 2 bedroom 2.5 bath penthouse condo in Koln, Germany. Everything's sort of dark and earth toned. With a love for natural materials he splurged on leather couches, headboards, and shearling rugs. Viking-era relics adorn his homes.

INTERNAL ISSUES:
• Axel has sociopathic tendencies. Manipulating others is easy for him, but there's no long-term satisfaction. Though every now and then the thought crosses his mind.

• Recovering from a messy break-up with his ex. He's using hook ups as a band-aid until he's ready to confront his state of being. Deep down, he craves depth and emotional connection- wife material.

• Axel tends to bottle up his emotions until they freeflow. He's not always conscious of this. Feelings tend to rise during inconvenient times and become the basis for impulsive decisions.

• Every now and then he goes off the grid. "Forgets" to tell friends and family- they hate him for it.

WORST RUMOR: Allegations that he threw a bottle of Grey Goose at a fan's head, called her a 'dyke' and urinated on her. Ever since, the media has been painting him out to be an asshole.

THE BAND
Skrýmir's style combines black metal with folk, post-black, melodic, progressive, and atmospheric elements. They are known to experiment with different styles and traditional instruments like the langeleik, tagelharpa, nyckelharpa, bagpipes, and lur. The lyrics often deal with philosophy, paganism, nature, and the cosmos. Axel sings in the baritone range with vocals that lean towards a rich and deep quality. He alternates between screaming and singing; English, Gothic, Norwegian, Old English, Proto-Norse, Proto-Germanic, and Viking age Old Norse being used.
